Meet the Founder
Kyla Donell Coker, Founder and CEO of Kyla Donell, is passionate about rocks in all forms, especially gemstones and diamonds. From an early age, Kyla knew she had a passion for geology with a need to understand how the world’s landscapes, rocks and its natural treasures were formed. She has traveled the globe in the pursuit of knowledge and geological connections. With a degree in geology and career as a Geologist, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a Gemologist at the world’s foremost authority in gemology: The GIA - The Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, CA.
As both a passioned geologist and gemologist, Kyla specializes in fine jewelry and gemstones, combing her direct connection to mines around the world and a sophisticated level of knowledge and service that is unique to the jewelry industry.
Growing up, one of Kyla’s fondest memories during holiday family gatherings, was quality time around the family jewelry box. Her aunt traveled the globe bringing home treasures representing distant cultures and lifestyles. This childhood memory is what deeply connected Kyla to the appreciation for jewelry and its symbolic impact on our lives. Donell, Kyla's official middle name, originated from her mother's sisters, Donna and Ranell. Donell is symbolic of the sentimental stories behind each piece of our jewelry treasures. Each jewelry piece tells a story and will someday be a future family heirloom.
Meticulous in the stones she selects, Kyla understands the benefits and natural energy of each gemstone as she oversees the craftsmanship in great detail from start to finish. She takes her job seriously so that it is customized for each client and strives to deliver the very best within their budget. She offers consultations with new clients to understand their style and then designs and curates jewelry for their specific personality.
“I am passionate about people having access to the most rare, beautiful gemstones and handmade custom jewelry. Blending passion and expertise, I thank my clients for the opportunity to fulfill my purpose as being a trusted source for their gemstones and jewelry. After all, jewelry is personal and it shouldn’t be taken lightly.”
